In Mews Operations, you can add a document such as a guest ID or signed agreement directly to a specific reservation. This is helpful for properties with long stays who need to attach rental agreements to reservations. Once you add a document, you can specify relevant details such as a name, signature status, signature date, expiration date and notes. Users with the “Create and manage reservations” permission can access this directly from the Reservations management screen.
To add a document to a reservation:
- In Mews Operations:
- From the Timeline select their reservation and click Manage, or
- Enter the guest's name in the Mews Dashboard search bar and click on their reservation.
- Click the Contracting tab.
- Click Actions > Upload file.
- In the new side-window, enter the following details:
- File: Click or drag a file to upload it. Mews supports files in PDF, JPEG and PNG formats.
- Name: Enter a name to identify the document, for example, rental agreement.
- Signature status: Click to select a status:
- Signed: For documents that are signed. When you select this option, a Signature date field appears where you can add the date.
- Pending: For documents that are pending. When you select this option, a Signature deadline field appears where you can add a deadline.
- Expiration date: Click to select an expiration date for the document.
- Note: Enter any relevant notes about the document.
- Click Save.
