  2. Review the top-level KPIs for all properties, including:
    • Total operating revenue: Displays the total revenue from all sources across selected properties, including rooms, food and beverage, and other services. Use this to assess the financial performance of your entire portfolio.
    • Average occupancy: Displays the percentage of rooms occupied across all properties. Use this to track how effectively each hotel fills available rooms.
    • Total number of guests: Displays the total number of guests currently staying across all selected properties. Use this to understand guest flow and operational demand.
    • Average daily guest spend: Displays the average amount spent per guest per day, based on total revenue. Use this to evaluate upsell performance and overall guest value.
    • Total operating revenue across property groups: Displays total revenue broken down by property group. Use this to compare the financial performance of different hotel clusters, brands, or regions.
    • Room revenue vs. RevPAR per property: Displays total room revenue alongside revenue per available room for each property. Use this to determine if revenue is driven by rate, occupancy, or both.
    • Room revenue vs. ADR per property: Displays total room revenue compared to average daily rate for each property. Use this to assess pricing strategies and their impact on income.
  3. Scroll down to Property performance to see each property's performance. Compare:
    • Room revenue versus revenue per available room: Displays each property’s total room revenue alongside its RevPAR. Use this to spot which hotels convert availability into income most efficiently.
    • Room revenue versus average daily rate: Displays each property’s room revenue alongside ADR. Use this to see whether higher revenue comes from higher pricing, more bookings, or both.
    • Occupancy and guest data for the selected period: Displays occupancy rate and number of in-house guests per property for the selected time range. Use this to evaluate demand and manage operational resources.

Step 2: Configure the filters to locate outliers

Use filters at the top of the dashboard to focus on the data most relevant to your operational or strategic goals. Each filter allows you to refine the dashboard for more targeted insights. Identify outliers by comparing property metrics, look for properties performing above or below the group average. For example, you filter by a property group in Southern Europe and compare room revenue and occupancy to find properties that need pricing adjustments.

When you apply a filter, the dashboard updates in real time.

Step 3: Set an alert to react to urgent issues

Use alerts to monitor critical KPIs automatically. When a KPI crosses a threshold, Mews notifies you, so you can take immediate action without needing to check the dashboard manually. For example, you can set an alert to notify you if the average occupancy for a property group falls below 50% over a selected week.

You can use alerts to:

  • Flag occupancy dropping below a specific percentage.
  • Detect unexpected revenue spikes or dips.
  • Monitor guest volume fluctuations.
  • Watch for performance trends in real time.

To set an alert:

  1. Click  in the top-right corner of any KPI tile, such as Total number of guests.
  2. Click  Alert from the dropdown menu.
  3. Click Create.
