The check out journey in Mews Kiosk begins when a guest first clicks on the Mews Kiosk to start their check out and ends on their successful check out. Understanding this process can give you a better overview of the guest’s experience and see the steps they take for a successful check out.

Step 1: Welcome screen
When a guest first interacts with a kiosk, it displays the Welcome screen where they can:
- Click on Check out to start the check out process.
Step 2: Select reservation
To find their reservation, guests can:
- Enter their last name in the Search bar.
- Enter or select their room number from the drop-down menu.
- Click Confirm.
Note: For group reservations, guests need to check out from each space individually to complete the check out process.
Step 3: Add in-room extras
If you have set up your products so that guests can pay for them during Mews Kiosk check out, they can select them now.
The guest can:
- In the new screen, click:
- Nothing to add to skip this step and go to the payment screen.
- Add items to add minibar or in-room extras.
- Click to select any consumed items.
- Click Continue.
Step 4: Payment screen
Connect a Mews Terminal to your kiosk so that your guests can pay for any outstanding items added to their bill during their stay.
The guest can either:
- Click Pay now to pay for all items on the bill, or
- Click Split bill to split the bill between guests or payment cards, then:
- Click + Create bill to create a new bill.
- Click to select the items they want to move, then click Move items.
- Click to select the new bill or click + Create bill to create another, then click Move.
- Click + Add business details to add company details to the bill, if necessary.
- Click to select the bill to pay and click Pay.
The guest can then follow the instructions on the Mews Terminal or scan the QR code with their smartphone to complete the payment on their own device.
Step 5: Successful check out screen
On successful completion of all the check out steps, guests can click Done and return their keys to reception if applicable.
