You can check in a reservation without creating keys as well as check in the reservation and then create keys. You can also set up your system for your guests to check in online. You can learn more about this here.

How to check in a reservation
To check in a reservation:
- In Mews Operations, open the reservation you want to check in.
- Click on the Status tab.
- If a reservation is part of a group and you want to check in multiple reservations at once, make sure to select all of the reservations you want to check in on the right side of the screen.
- Scroll down to the Spaces section.
- If the assigned space is Inspected, you can check in the reservation. Note: If housekeeping cannot quickly inspect the space, you can click on the
icon to move the guests to a different space.
You can decide whether you want to create keys now. If you don't, you can always create them after the guest physically checks in.
Without creating keys
- Click Check in to check in without creating keys.
Create keys
- Decide if you want to create the same number of keys as the number of guests in the reservation.
- If you want the same number,
- Click Check in and click the
Create keys icon.
- Choose your Key cutter device from the drop down.
- Click Create key.
- Click Check in and click the
- If you want a different number,
- Click the
Create keys icon.
- Choose the number of keys you want to create under Key count.
- Then click Create key > Check in.
- Click the
- If you need to create duplicate keys for guests arriving at different times, you can set up your door lock integration to allow it.
